Cellulitis in Lymphoedema: Lessons from the Lymphoedema Wales Clinical Network – The Journey, Progress, and Future Directions
This MOH Talk will explore how cellulitis management in lymphedema has evolved in Wales through the work of the Lymphedema Wales Clinical Network.
The session will trace the journey from early policy development to national implementation. It will focus on challenges faced, solutions tested, and outcomes achieved. You will see how structured collaboration, education, and prevention strategies changed practice and improved patient care.
Cellulitis remains a major cause of morbidity, hospital admission, and antibiotic use in people with lymphedema. Practice often varies. Pathways remain fragmented. The LWCN experience shows how this can change.
This webinar will share real-world learning supported by service data and evaluation. It will also highlight how this model can be adapted beyond Wales.

- The impact of cellulitis in lymphedema and the Welsh approach
- Building national, evidence-informed pathways from fragmented care
