Management of chronic edema

This CPD certified training day provides a comprehensive overview of the management of chronic oedema and lymphoedema.  
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying edema and the assessment and management of patients with lower limb swelling. 
Using a practical, problem solving approach, the session explores the core components of care and guides participants in choosing appropriate therapy based on individual patient needs.

  • The mechanisms behind lower limb swelling and chronic oedema. 
  • How to assess patients and identify associated conditions. 
  • Core principles of chronic oedema management. 
  • The role of compression therapy in treatment. 
  • How to choose appropriate therapies for individual patients. 
     

CPD hours: 5 hours 

  • Pre-course reading: 1 hour. 
  • Face to face teaching session: 4 hours.
